Horizon Parent Advisory Committee
Dear Horizon Parents:
We welcome all parents/guardians to be a part of their child's education here at Horizon. One opportunity to become involved is by being on the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). We understand that you may not be able to make every meeting-- we welcome you any time you can attend. We meet on the first Thursday of each month from noon - 1:00 in the staff room. Feel free to contact Sherry Heaton, DougVanderpan, Jim Kindschi, or any PAC member if you have any questions.
What does the PAC do?
• Help raise funds to purchase ActivBoards Activ Expressions, a student response system allowing voting through text and numbers with Soup & Cookie Dough Sales, Barnes & Noble Fundraiser, and Concessions
• Monthly Teacher Appreciation - organize and bring baked goods or other food items
• Provide meals for teachers during parent-teacher conferences
• Organize and fund 9th Grade Farewell in May
• Husky High Five's - purchase and award prizes for good student behavior
• Help with organization/funding for 8th grade Medora Trip in September
• Organize Horizon afternoon with the Wizards
